We are so excited to announce that this Sunday, February 23rd, The Foundation for Black Excellence will host a booth at the 8th Annual Black Joy Parade in Oakland, California! This is an opportunity for us to share our most recent successes, including the creation of FBE Schools and the opening of our first anti-biased, anti-racist, Montessori preschool - Oakland Community Montessori School!

The mission of The Black Joy Parade is "to provide the Black community and allies a live experience that celebrates our influence on cultures past, present and future. We will unite a diverse community by creating a space to express each of our unique contributions to the Black experience. We invite you to be creative, be open, be present, be free."
Their mission completely aligns with our goals for the Black community, so it is only fitting that we come out and celebrate! At our booth, you can celebrate our accomplishments from 2024, learn about where we are going next, join our movement, or simply stop by to say hello! Our booth will be on Franklin St between 21st and 22nd streets. We are just around the corner from the Lil' Joy section, so be sure to bring your kiddos.
We can't wait to see y'all there.
